Collect evidence of your skills through workplace projects and documentation
One-to-one sessions with your assessor to explore your knowledge
Where needed, on-site observations of your management approach
Final review and verification leading to your Level 6 NVQ award
Upon successful completion, you'll receive your Level 7 qualification, qualifying you for the Black CSCS card and recognizing your expertise. This certification validates your position at the highest level of construction management.

The Level 6 assessment evaluates your competence in these key areas of construction management:
Planning, organising and controlling construction projects from inception to completion. This includes managing timelines, resources, and coordinating activities to deliver projects on time and within budget while meeting quality standards.
Administering and managing construction contracts, including understanding contract terms, handling variations, resolving disputes, and ensuring contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Identifying, allocating and optimising the use of resources including labor, materials, equipment and subcontractors to ensure efficient project delivery and cost-effectiveness.
Implementing and managing quality assurance systems to ensure construction work meets required standards, specifications and building regulations, including inspection procedures and defect management.
Monitoring, controlling and reporting on project costs, including budget preparation, cost planning, value engineering, and financial tracking to ensure project profitability.
Leading and managing construction teams, including delegation, performance management, conflict resolution, and fostering a positive working environment to maximise productivity.
Managing client expectations, communication and relationships throughout the project, including handling client briefings, progress reporting, and addressing client needs and concerns.
Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors, including procurement strategies, vendor selection, material scheduling, and managing the flow of resources to construction sites.
